Crossing Capitol Street near the Iowa River Bridge.
Consisting of a pair of I-Beams encased in concrete, the entire bridge rests on concrete substructures.
Built in 1901, the bridge likely replaced a wooden trestle structure. It was built in response to a double tracking project through the area.
Overall, the bridge remains in fair condition with some signs of spalling.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
